ALUMNI EVENTS
Recently, the Department of Food Science held its first independent Homecoming event, a reception held prior to the School of Agriculture’s lunch. In previous years, the Department joined with the Agriculture Alumni Association for the Homecoming festivities. The reception was a success with alumni returning from Florida and Wisconsin as well as a number from the local area.
The Department held its third Outstanding Food Science Award (link to this page within “awards”) in September. Nine honorees returned to accept their awards. Honorees included Al Bushway, John Butts, John Davies, Ted Hartung, Clayton Huber, Peter Mauger, Ken May, Darrell Medcalf, Gale Shemwell Rudolph, and Marion Williams.
