Through the Department’s successful Alliances campaign, the Department realized just how important our Alumni and Friends are. As public funds have declined over the years, it’s the private support that has launched our Department into the forefront of food science departments. Recent gifts to the Department include a gift from Sarah Scholle, widow of packaging innovator, Bill Scholle, the Fred and Marcella Babel estate, the Bernie Liska Memorial Fund, and a significant pledge to the Belfort Lecture Series endowment.
