Biography
Laura is a senior is Food Science, expecting to graduate with her B.S. in May 2006. She grew up near Indianapolis and was raised to love nature, which explains her passion for nearly all outdoor adventures-—backpacking, canoeing, climbing, biking, and especially wildflower hikes. Besides enjoying fresh air, Laura also appreciates all varieties of music and loves to travel to shows. At Purdue she is involved in the Purdue Outing Club, Agricultural Ambassadors, Mortar Board Class of 2006, IFTSA, Food Science Club and Envoys, and several other organizations. During her undergraduate studies, Laura interned with Kraft Foods in Madison, Wisconsin and General Mills in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She plans to both continue on to graduate school in food chemistry/nutrition and serve in the Peace Corps.
