Freshman Scholarships

Name of Award Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Freshman Scholarship
Eligible Applicants High school seniors who are accepted into an accredited Food Science college program (i.e., in the Food Science Department in the School of Agriculture at Purdue University) and who show outstanding scholastic ability and a well-rounded personality.
Selections Criteria  
Amount of Award $1000 to $1500
Number of Awards  
Deadline February 15, prior to fall enrollment

Name of Award The Arnold and Catherine Denton Food Science Scholarship
Eligible Applicants High school seniors planning to enroll in the Department of Food Science in the School of Agriculture at Purdue University who are ranked in the top half of their high school class and have a minimum SAT score of 1,000 or minimum ACT English/Math scores of 23, and a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 or 85% minimum freshman probability index. A 3.0 GPA must be maintained throughout 4 years

Amount of Award $1,500 annually for four years
